A long-standing member of Wardell Chambers, John maintains a broad commercial and equity practice. The principal areas in which he advises and appears at both trial and appellate level extends to commercial disputes, building and construction law, co-ownership of land disputes, wills and probate, trusts and professional negligence.

He has acquired considerable knowledge and experience in highly specialised fields such as aviation crash law, having appeared in landmark cases both domestically and internationally in this area. Practising in such areas has necessitated superior analytical and forensic skills, which John possesses and for which he is recommended.

John’s client base is diverse, regularly appearing unled for the State Government, individuals and estates. The depth and breadth of his practice has seen him appear in many jurisdictions, including in mediations. Often briefed in large, complex matters where significant sums of money are at stake, John is known for the precision with which he prepares his matters, including drafting and reviewing evidence. He is hard working, thorough, well prepared and has a meticulous attention to detail.

John possesses highly developed mathematical and financial management skills, having graduated from a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance, from the University of New South Wales. He has been the Treasurer of Wardell Chambers for many years. Equipped with such knowledge has been highly beneficial to John’s practice, as it has enabled him to understand and interpret complex financial expert reports and expeditiously grasp accounts and balance sheets in the matters in which he is briefed.
